Recently, I extracted pure DMT from 250g of Mimosa Hostilis root bark powder. However, I’ve never tried DMT before, and this was my first extraction. I think I should smoke a bit to test whether I extracted the DMT correctly.

Prior to this, I’ve taken several psychedelic substances, including shrooms, LSD (and some analogs like 1V-LSD), 2C-B-FLY, 4-HO-MET (one of my favorites), 4-HO-MIPT, and MDMA.

After extracting the DMT, I discovered that the method of smoking it is quite specific. Initially, I considered using the sandwich method, but I had some e-liquid with a 70/30 VG/PG ratio and decided to infuse a lower dose than recommended in online forums (I mixed about 200mg of DMT into 1ml of liquid) and put a bit of the resulting mixture in my sub-ohm vaporizer.

I was a bit nervous and started testing the wattage from low to high, beginning at 5W. I started noticing something at around 12W. I was taking big pulls and holding the vapor as long as I could. It wasn’t until my fourth try that the DMT hit me, although I think the concentration was very low. The first thing I noticed was a pressure in my head and a ringing in my ears (which I hadn’t experienced with any of the other drugs I’ve taken before).

With my eyes open, I could see strange patterns, like darker shapes on the walls of my room. I took another big pull with my eyes closed, now that I had tested the potency. I started to experience a kind of hallucination with my eyes closed. It was very well-defined but not like the bright, geometric colors in simulation videos. Instead, I saw two rolls of cloth (blue with golden squares and symbols), spinning and moving in what seemed like a nonsensical room.

I was lying in bed, but I felt the position of my body in a strange, angled way. The hallucination slowly disintegrated into nothing, and I opened my eyes. I took another big pull and noticed from the flavor that the e-liquid was running out. I held the vapor as long as I could, with my eyes open and the light on. The wall began to form into an ominous, undefined shape, but that didn’t last long.

Overall, this drug seems to be very unique compared to other tryptamines. For instance, I didn’t experience any drifting at all. Next time, I’ll take a heavier dose with the proper equipment. I think the e-mesh is one of the best methods I’ve seen online, because I feel this drug should be taken in a moderate to strong dosage and the fewer hits to achieve the dosage the better.
